Mac has played guitar for more than 30 years in a variety of bands and duos. His first Steel Guitar (this is around 1974) was a kit that refused to stay in tune, and ended up as firewood! Next came a rented white MSA single 10, followed later by a beautiful, and purchased, green ZB double neck. Mac played it on and off over the next 10 years. He bought it from Curry Coster of Wheaton, Maryland, who plays with Bob Plunkert in the DC area - Curry studied with Buddy Charleton! Water damage from poor storage led to Mac selling the ZB to John Borchard of Athens, Ohio who restored it perfectly.
Today, Mac is back playing again - this time a GFI student model - and has studied with Wayne Paden in Tempe, AZ. Mac is playing with local "classic" country band Cottonwood Stash. Listen to some clips and keep up with the band at www.CottonwoodStash.com.
